The Digital Foci Picture Porter ("Foci" being the plural of "focus", and pronounced "foe-sigh") is available in both 20GB and 40GB versions, and is fairly loaded with connectivity options. The front of the device sports a 130,572 pixel 2.0" color LCD display, on which images and movies can be viewed. Both sides of the device feature card slots, which together can accomodate CompactFlash I & II including MicroDrive, as well as SmartMedia, MultiMediaCard, Secure Digital Card, Memory Stick and Memory Stick Duo (including PRO cards for both types), and xD-Picture Card. miniSD cards are also supported via an optional adapter. The Picture Porter also offers both high-speed USB 2.0 and NTSC/PAL switcheable video output connectivity, with a bundled remote unit that lets you control the device from across the room. File formats supported include JPEG, TIFF, BMP and RAW files from a selection of Canon, Nikon, Kodak, Fujifilm, Olympus, Minolta and Pentax cameras, as well as MPEG1, MPEG4 and DivX 5.x videos, and MP3, WMA, AAC and WAV audio files. The device is available immediately priced at $399 for a 20GB version, or $469 for a 40GB version, with each being available in "frosted white" or "graphite" body colors. Power is supplied by a bundled Lithium Ion rechargeable battery, and spares can be purchased for $34.95. The product bundle also includes an AC adapter, earphones, carrying case, as well as both Ulead's Photo Explorer 8.5 SE and Video ToolBox 2 programs.
