Canon Updates EOS-1D Mark II N and EOS 5D Firmware By

Brighter screens and a few bugs and typos fixed, too!
Canon has released firmware updates for the EOS-1D Mark IIN and the EOS 5D to improve the brightness of the LCD monitor and fix typos in some Menu displays. The EOS-1D update also fixes a file numbering error during Bulb shooting while the EOS 5D update also fixes a large image file creation problem and an Auto Exposure Bracketing bug. EOS-1D Update The firmware update 1.0.2 for the EPS-1D includes the following changes: - Fixes the phenomenon of sequential file numbers not being maintained when shooting with sequential numbers in Bulb mode and then changing the CompactFlash card with the camera powered on.
- Improves the brightness of the LCD monitor, making it easier to check images outdoors.
- Mistakes in some of the Russian-language displays have been fixed.
EOS 5D Update The firmware update 1.0.3 for the EOS 5D includes the following changes: - Fixes the phenomenon of large image files (1.7GB) being created when vertical images are taken with the Auto Image Rotation setting set to ON.
- Improves the brightness of the LCD monitor, making it easier to check images outdoors.
- When shooting with the self-timer and AEB set to an exposure time of more than one second, the camera's operation became abnormal after the first shot, but this has been fixed.
- There were mistakes in some of the Swedish-language displays; these have been fixed.
