Ten new transitions, screen selection, set slide duration to audio and export improvements highlight the beta.
Boinx software has released a beta version of its $79 FotoMagico, animated slide show software for Mac OS X. Favorably reviewed in our April 1 newsletter, Fotomagico provides a slick interfact for zooming, rotating and panning still images while building a slide show with audio. Highlights of the 1.5 beta include: - Transitions. 10 cool new full-motion transitions have been added: Wipes (Linear, Circular, Angular), Slide, Push, Twirl, Zoom, Flip, Cube, Aperture
- Present on any screen. You can now present your slideshow on any screen, beamer, TV set etc. connected to your Mac.
- Adjust Slide Duration to Audio. Place an audio item beneath the slides and adjust the length of the slides to the duration of the audio item with a single click.
- Export Improvements. A display of the estimated remaining time and lots of fixes (mainly related to Panther and QuickTime 6.x) make exporting "a lot more fun."
- Improved Title Editing. A major overhaul.
- iTunes 5/6 Support. Playlist and folders are recognized in the Audio Panel.
The beta release can be downloaded at http://www.fotomagico.com/beta/.
