The new version adds iPhoto import, automatic updates, original image export, redeye and other transforms.
Phanfare (http://www.phanfare.com) has released an update to the Macintosh version of its Phanfare Photo.
In addition to various bug fixes, the highlights of the new release include:
iPhoto Importer. The File menu now offers an Import from iPhoto option.
Automatic Updater. Future updates will happen automatically when you launch the program.
Image Transforms. Crop, red-eye reduction, brightness/contrast adjustment, and other image conversion ranging from grayscale to sepia have been added. The new transforms work on a selection of images in the thumbnails view using the new Image/Video menu.
Zoom. The slider in the bottom left of the image editor zooms in on an image. While zoomed, you can click and hold your mouse to move around.
Improved Styles Chooser. You can now search styles by category as well as by term.
Image Export. You can now export images from within Phanfare Photo to recover accidentally deleted images or, if you are running Phanfare Photo on another computer, move the images to it.
Billing Information. You can change your credit card and billing address, as well as see your account status.
System requirements are a broadband Web connection, Macintosh OS X 10.4 Tiger with all Software Updates and a screen resolution of at least 1024x768 pixels.
