The folks over at DAMUseful.com have released a new plugin for Adobe Bridge, the navigational control center used in Adobe Creative Suite 2 software.
DAM's "RapidFixer" plugin is aimed at making Bridge more useful when proofing files, and offers the ability to make simple adjustments to RAW+Sidecar files. The results come quickly, and while they're not going to be as accurate as what you'd achieve working on the full images, the solution looks ideal for mostly getting your images in shape for a client to make their selections from, for example.
RapidFixer creates two arrays of buttons in Bridge with which you can adjust Camera Raw settings. Among the variables you can adjust are white balance, saturation, toning, vignetting, and more (some buttons changing multiple Camera Raw settings simultaneously). The DAMUseful website has a number of videos that demonstrate the program more easily than we can do here - but we have to say it looks like a very worthwhile tool!
RapidFixer can be purchased for $39.95, and may be used with a single license of Photoshop CS2 (hence allowing use in two installations of the program, much the same as Adobe's program itself).
