PRESS RELEASE: A guide to digital photography
www.photo-i.co.uk, the website dedicated to digital photography, has now set up a publishing division called photo-iDVD. Since it was launched just over four years ago, the site has had over 13 million unique visitors. Professional photographer and editor of the site, Vincent Oliver said, "With the explosive growth in digital camera sales, there is a huge demand for information and creative interest. But although the bookshelves are stocked with a good selection of written material, no one has embraced the full power of digital media by producing a multimedia package on the techniques of taking pictures and manipulating those same pictures. This would seem to be the most obvious and practical method for any one wishing to learn the digital imaging techniques."
a guide to digital photography (in association with Canon) is the first DVD to be launched. Aimed at the beginner and casual user, it contains a series of exclusive assignments shot on location and shows the viewer in a user-friendly way how to get the best results from their digital camera. The pictures are manipulated in Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0, a great introductory application for digital photography. The manipulations are in the form of a fully animated screen movie which enables the viewer to see the manipulations taking place in real time.
