Boxwave Corp. has released a new product in its FlexiSkin line that should help owners of Canon's PowerShot SD700 digital camera protect their investment.
Available in six colors - Coral Pink, Frosted Clear, Future Blue, Aluminum Grey, Jet Black, and Smoke Grey - the FlexiSkin for Canon PowerShot SD700 is a soft silicone case that fits snugly around the camera, protecting it from light bumps and scratches and giving a grippier, textured surface that makes the camera's body easier to hold. The case is designed to allow access to the SD700's controls, and comes with a clear, removable shield for the LCD screen.
Regularly priced at $38.95, the FlexiSkin for SD700 is available on Boxwave's website for $27.95. Similar cases are also available for 16 other camera models from Canon, Casio, Konica Minolta, Nikon and Panasonic.
Having seen Boxwave's FlexiSkin cases ourselves, we have to say that they're a great way to provide at least minimal protection for "pocketable" cameras (although we always recommend a hard case as well - digital cameras are just too delicate and valuable to routinely trust them to pockets or purses without some form of rigid protection).
