PRESS RELEASE: Integration's New LED Driver Enhances Flash Power in Camera Phones
The IA2521 Power Management IC Provides the Industry's Highest Flash Performance at Lowest Cost, Enabling Superior Picture-Taking Quality
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Integration Associates, a high performance analog, mixed-signal semiconductor solutions provider for wireless, wireline, and power management applications, announced today the launch of the IA2521 Camera Flash LED Driver, an enhanced performance, low cost power conversion IC. Using only a 1.5 microhenry inductor, the IA2521 provides the highest efficiency of any device currently in the market, and is optimal for next generation Camera Phone, Digital Camera, and PDA applications worldwide. IA2521 will facilitate brighter flashes, enabling higher quality pictures.
The IA2521 Camera Flash LED Driver features a Buck-boost converter for LED camera flash, separate flash light and flash modes, and provides up to 4 watts of output power. Full flash brightness is reached as quickly as a xenon tube. The IA2521 incorporates spread-spectrum switching to minimize EMI, is self-protected against open-string conditions and thermal overloads, and is available in a 3x3 QFN or MSOP-8 package.
