PRESS RELEASE: Fujifilm Introduces Event Photo System
Event Photo System Automatically Applies Captured Images to Templates, Prints to Fujifilm ASK-2000 & -4000 Printers in Seconds
PMA 2007 Booth E100
VALHALLA, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FUJIFILM U.S.A., Inc. today announced that it will unveil its new Fujifilm Event Photo System at the Photo Marketing Association Show 2007 in Las Vegas. Fujifilm's Event Photo System software automatically incorporates images into templates and transfers them to Fujifilm's ASK-2000 digital photo printer for high speed printing, without any operator intervention. The Event Photo System is made complete by adding any digital camera for image capture, such as the Fujifilm FinePix S5 Pro.
"This software is ideal for any event photographer who wants to enhance their business by adding value and optimizing their workflow," said James Riekert, director of marketing - kiosks, Imaging Division, FUJIFILM U.S.A. "By combining our new software with the ASK 2000 and ASK 4000 Digital Photo Printers and a digital camera, we have created a complete solution that enables any event photographer to introduce an intuitive, affordable way to streamline their workflow and increase on-site revenue."
The Fujifilm Event Photo System automatically corrects the photos using Fujifilm Image Intelligence™ technology, imports the images into pre-determined templates and sends them directly to the portable ASK 2000 or ASK 4000 printer. Additionally, photographers using cameras with Wi-Fi technology can send images directly from the camera to the system without cabling. This allows them to be completely mobile while shooting an event.
The Event Photo System software consists of Template Manager software and Instant Print software. If no templates need to be applied, the Fujifilm Instant Print software allows photographers to optimize their workflow by sending images directly to the printers in seconds, automatically. This software can be used with ASK-2000 and ASK-4000 printers.
ASK-2000 and ASK-4000 Digital Printers The ASK-2000 Digital Printer offers edge-to-edge printing and is capable of delivering the following output sizes: 4 x 6-inch, 5 x 7-inch, 6 x 8-inch, 6 x 9-inch prints. The printer produces 4 x 6-inch prints at 8 seconds per print and 5 x 7-inch prints at 16 seconds per print, allowing professional photographers to generate up to 450 and 225 prints per hour respectively. The ASK-4000 Digital Printer offers edge-to-edge printing and produces 8 x 10-inch prints in just 40 seconds, and 8 x 12-inch prints in just 49 seconds.
Image Intelligence technology Fujifilm's Image Intelligence technology is the integration of vast image analysis, evaluation and processing know-how that Fujifilm has amassed over many years of experience in industries and applications as diverse as medical imaging, graphic arts and photography. The resulting technology - incorporated into many Fujifilm products - includes a series of software utilities collectively known as Image Intelligence. Among the key Image Intelligence features event photographers will see in this product are excellent color correction and smoothing of skin tones.
