General Imaging: New photo printer By

Alongside its announcement today of four series of new digital cameras, General Imaging has announced its first photo printer model.
Branded as the General Electric P1, General Imaging's first printer is a 4800 x 1200 dpi inkjet. The GE P1 uses CMY pigment inks, and takes 75 - 105 seconds per print, depending on the settings used. Media capacity is 25 sheets of A6, using either photo or glossy papers. The P1 includes a built-in 2.5" LCD display that folds flat for storage or travel, and has slots for xD Picture Card / CompactFlash (type unspecified) / MultiMediaCard / Secure Digital (SDHC compatibility unknown) / SmartMedia cards, as well as compatibility with PictBridge. There's also a USB connection, and an optional Bluetooth adapter. Pricing and availability have not been announced at this time.
