Fujifilm's IS-1 Digital Camera Wins DIMA Innovative Digital Product Award.

VALHALLA, N.Y. --(Business Wire)-- Mar. 8, 2007 In recognition of its excellence in digital imaging innovation, FUJIFILM U.S.A., Inc. was honored with a prestigious DIMA award at PMA 2007. The Digital Imaging Marketing Association (DIMA), a division of Photo Marketing Association International, presented Fujifilm with a DIMA Innovative Digital Product Awards for the IS-1 digital camera.

DIMA Innovative Digital Product Awards recognize products or services that are technologically innovative or first of their kind. DIMA's recognition of the IS-1 digital camera underscores Fujifilm's commitment to creating unique products and rich new technologies that meet the imaging needs of today's customers.

Fujifilm's IS-1 is the world's first production point and shoot digital camera capable of taking photographs in the infrared (IR) light spectrum. This unique camera provides law enforcement and scientific departments (often contending with restrictive budgets) with a digital camera that can enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of their operations, without draining too much of their resources.

The IS-1 will help law enforcement officers solve crimes by capturing evidence not easily seen by the human eye. It can be used in visible and infrared light spectrums, making the evidence-gathering process more efficient and accurate.

It is also encouraging that technology like that found in the IS-1 will, some day soon, give greater creative control and flexibility to fine art, portrait, and wedding photographers to create unique and beautiful images at the click of a button. For example, photographers have the ability to create fairytale and dream-like images by turning foliage white while having subjects appear in color. Artistically speaking, the sky is the limit with IR photography.

Fujifilm will be showcasing its full portfolio of imaging technologies and services at PMA 2007 Booth E100. For more information, call 800-800-FUJI or go to http://www.fujifilmusa.com/pma.
