We continue to be a bit bogged down with digicam and SLR tests on the Imaging Resource side of the house, so lens tests are still running a bit slower than normal as a result. We're hoping to add to our team soon though, which should help all around, SLRgear tests included. In the meantime though, we've posted an unusually thorough analysis of an incredible image stabilized zoom lens from Canon, the amazing Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM. We previously tested the non-IS version of this lens, and found the new model is evvery bit as good as its predecessor, with Canon's incredible four-stop IS thrown into the bargain. Lead tech Jim found it so intriguing (he's looking at buying one himself) that he went way deep on the analysis, not only comparing this lens to other zooms, but to some excellent primes as well: We think you'll be surprised by the results!
On other fronts, we still have a couple of lenses that have been tested but haven't had their analysis posted yet, and we just got a sample of Tamron's 18-250mm DiII super-zoom to take a look at. Stay tuned!
Meanwhile, here's a list of other lenses we've posted results for recently:
