It's the state of the art flatbed film scanner -- but is that good enough? We take a look, explaining those mysterious height adjusters along the way.
We spent a few months with an Epson Perfection V700 using it to scan everything from documents to medium format film. We were sorry to see it go.
It won't surprise anyone that it handled reflective material well, but the real question was how well it scanned film. There's good news there and especially good news if you use LaserSoft's SilverFast Ai 6.5.
Our report covers both the less expensive V700 model (which does not include SilverFast Ai) and its more expensive cousin, the V750 (which does).
