Another new lens up today, a great fast-aperture, tele zoom model, the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM. This is a very popular zoom range, Canon actually having no fewer than four models covering it. We tested the f/4 lenses (both IS and not) previously, today we take a look at the 70-200 f/2.8 IS version. If you're a Canon shooter and need a lens in this focal length range with great optical quality, a fast aperture, and quick AF, this baby is hard to beat. Read the review for all the details, including (for the first time!) sample images shot with it in our lab.
Looking ahead, there are still lenses that have been tested but haven't had their analysis posted yet, including an inexpensive Nikon 70-300mm tele zoom, and the Nikon 18-35mm wide zoom. We also have waiting samples of the Nikon 50-200mm VR zoom (amazing that they managed to cram in VR for such a low price), and the new Canon 16-35mm f/2.8 L II, which looks to be a noticeable improvement over its predecesor. Stay tuned, we'll have more test results posted shortly.
Meanwhile, here's a list of other lenses we've posted results for recently:
