Its powerful automated portrait retouching comes with a level of customization previously impossible to achieve. It's all based on the program's unique ability to succinctly describe any human visage.
Professional portrait photographers know flattery is good for business. Just as portrait painters before them did. And now Anthropics has automated that flattery with Portrait Professional, a Windows application that easily handles routine retouching like tooth and eye whitening but goes further to include head sculpting, too. That last bit of magic is feasible thanks to a clever and unique way of describing a head.
But it also makes possible to distinguish facial features like skin defects from pores and small wrinkles from the larger ones that define character. And Portrait Professional gives you fine control over these categories of facial features with sliders -- as well as the ability to store your settings as a preset. You can define your own level of flattery, using the features of the program you like and turning off others.
Quite an achievement, we think. Take a look at our review for the whole story.
