Phase One updates RAW workflow software By

Denmark's Phase One A/S has today announced that it has released a new version of its popular Raw workflow software package, Capture One.
The news follows on from a beta release at the end of last August. Changes in Phase One's Capture One 4, which is said to have been a complete ground-up rewrite, include an overhauled user interface to allow photographers to better focus on their images, with the various controls occupying less space and placed on a darker background. The software allows up to 12 RAW images to be worked on simultaneously, and includes a high dynamic range control for recovery of highlight and shadow detail. There's also a new Web Contact Sheet feature allowing photographers to show their images online, as well as compatibility with Adobe's DNG raw format for both import and export. Interestingly, Phase One has moved to make it easier for the software to be transferred from one computer to another, with the ability for users to manage and transfer license codes.
