PRESS RELEASE: Mustek to Introduce Digital Photo Frame With NXT Flat-Panel Speaker Technology at PMA
PF-A950PS Supplies Rich, Diffuse Sound Field from Front of Frame for Enhanced Enjoyment of MP3 Music, Slide Shows and Audio
IRVINE, CA, Jan. 29 -- Mustek will display at the Photo Marketing Association Show the new PF-A950PS, a 9.5-inch digital photo frame employing NXT flat-panel speaker technology, bringing added audio enjoyment and a sleeker form factor to consumers along with outstanding display of pictures and videos. Mustek will be exhibiting its full line of digital photo frames, portable multimedia players and digital camcorders in PMA booth K179, Jan. 31-Feb. 2, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
"The highlight of the new PF-A950PS is the audio performance achieved by the NXT flat-panel. Rivaling that experienced with home theater, the rich, diffuse soundfield makes the PF-A950PS stand out in a crowded digital photo frame market," said David Ficken, Director of Sales, Mustek. "This premium audio solution locks sound and vision together, making the PF-A950PS ideal for consumers who want to use their digital photo frame as an integrated entertainment device."
NXT speakers are concealed within the PF-A950PS screen, unlike with typical digital photo frames that position speakers in the back, away from the listener. Virtually invisible, this technology transforms the entire panel into a loud speaker that consumers can hear and actually feel by touching the LCD.
The PF-A950PS features a 9.5-inch LCD (16:9 aspect ratio) and sharp 800x480 resolution. Compatible with most standard memory cards (SD/ MMC/MS/MS Pro/XD/CF) used in today's digital cameras, the frame supports JPEG photos, AVI, MJPEG and Xvid video with audio, plus MP3 music files for greater entertainment options. In addition, there is a USB 2.0 port for thumb drives or for connecting the frame directly to a PC for copying files onto its 128-MB internal memory.
The Mustek PF-A950PS is expected to ship in May with an MSRP of $249.99.
