Snapshots and the Targeted Adjustment Tool are featured in this screencast.
Derrick Story has posted "Snapshots and TAT in ACR 5.2: Photoshop CS4 Companion for Photographers Screencast 5," a screencast highlighting two new features of Adobe Camera Raw.
Among Adobe Camera Raw 5.2's terrific new tools, Story highlights Snapshots and the Targeted Adjustment Tool. In this screencast designed to supplement The Photoshop CS4 Companion for Photographers, Story starts by showing you a saved history of several image edits for a photo he adjusted in ACR. At last you can see exactly how he gets from his camera capture to the final image!
Then Story makes a series of tone and color adjustments with TAT. The new tool allows adjustments to Parametric Curves, Hue, Saturation, Luminance and Grayscale Mix.
The 6:45 minute screencast can be downloaded at no charge from Story's site: http://digitalmedia.oreilly.com/2008/12/03/psc_sc05.html. Story plans to do more screencasts highlighting new features of Adobe releases to supplement his Companion.
ACR 5.2 is a free download for licensed users of Photoshop CS4. The Photoshop CS4 Companion for Photographers is a handy guide to building a complete workflow with the tools included in CS4, including Adobe Camera Raw.
The Photoshop CS4 Companion for Photographers is available for $16.49 through the Imaging Resource Amazon affiliate program.
