PRESS RELEASE: Datacolor Receives ISO 9001:2000 Recertification
Approval Reflects Company's Commitment to Continual Improvement as a Part of its Culture
LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. -- Dec. 9, 2009 -- Datacolor, a global leader in digital color management technology, has received its ISO 9001:2000 recertification for its Quality Management System at the company's U.S.-based Lawrenceville, N.J. and Suzhou, China manufacturing facilities. Recertification by the International Organization for Standardization was approved in November. The certification follows an extensive audit by Det Norske Veritas, which conducted a thorough sampling of the company's quality management system to ensure that Datacolor was compliant with all International Standards and stated procedures.
"Achieving ISO 9001:2000 recertification marks a significant milestone for Datacolor," says Terry Downes, president of the company. "It is a direct result of our entire organization working together to ensure the highest-quality products and services for our customers."
ISO 9001:2000 is an international standard related to quality management, applicable to all types of business sectors and activities. Certification is based on eight quality management principles to help improve organizational performance including customer focus, leadership, involvement of people, process approach, system approach to management, continual improvement, fact-based decision-making and mutually beneficial supplier relationships. The organization believes that certifying management systems offers proof of the company's commitment to quality, environment, health and safety and social responsibility.
