The Wiley Photography Challenge runs from today through July 31st 2009, accepts photos in three categories, and is open to residents of the United States and United Kingdom over the age of 13. Submitted photos must receive enough public five-star comments and thumbs-up clicks to appear in the "Popular Pics" page, and thence will be judged by a professional panel.
Judges include Wiley's Vice President and Executive Publisher Barry Pruett, Frommer's Senior Photo Editor Richard Fox, PictureSocial.com Founder Richard Schneider, and photographers Peter Bargh and Erin Manning.
For May, the theme is "Travel", while further challenges in June and July will have themes of "Bliss" and "Celebrations" respectively. In each month, four prizes will be awarded as follows:
Grand Prize: $500 or £500 Visa Gift Card as applicable (dual residents of the US / UK may select either currency), plus a two-year SmugMug Pro membership and a $75 SmugMug Gift Card
