Last September, Sigma announced its new DP2 compact digital camera, an update to the original Sigma DP1 design.

In place of the DP1's 28mm-equivalent f/4.0 lens, the DP2 included an f/2.8 41mm lens. Sigma also updated the image processor to a Sigma TRUE II ("Three-layer Responsive Ultimate Engine") processor, and revised the camera's rear panel control layout.

Today, Sigma Imaging UK has announced that the Sigma DP2 is now available in that market. Pricing for the camera itself has been set at around £600. Alongside the camera, Sigma is offering a VF-21 external viewfinder priced at about £115, as well as an HA-21 hood adapter for £20.

Sigma's updated SD15 digital SLR is also scheduled to arrive later this summer.

For more details on either camera, take a look at our DP2 announcement and SD15 announcement coverage.
