Adobe offers Camera Raw 5.4 release candidate By

Adobe Systems Inc. has today published a release candidate version of its upcoming Camera Raw version 5.4.
The new version brings support for an addition 26 digital cameras and camera backs from Canon EOS 500D, Epson R-D1x, Hasselblad, Kodak, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic and Sigma. It also adds new DNG Compatibility conversion options, preparatory to a new revision of the DNG specification. Being a release candidate, it is said to have been well tested, but still requiring additional community testing before a more wirespread release. The previous version was Camera Raw v5.3, which first shipped on March 3rd 2009 alongside the release of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom v2.3. Camera Raw 5.4 can be downloaded from the Adobe website for systems running Windows or Mac OS.
