Sigma Corp. has released an updated version of firmware for its DP2 digital camera which corrects a couple of operational issues.

Closely related to the company's existing DP1 model, the Sigma DP2 is based around a 0.98" diagonal Foven X3 image sensor, which has an effective resolution of 4.64 megapixels with full color measured at every pixel location. The sensor sits behind a 41mm equivalent fixed focal length Sigma lens, and offers ISO sensitivity from 50 to 1,600 equivalents.

Sigma DP2 firmware version 1.01 includes two changes, according to the company. Accuracy of the camera's 9-point contrast detection autofocusing system has been improved, and intermittent camera lockups that occurred under certain unspecified conditions have been resolved.

For more details including how to check the current firmware revision of your camera, as well as how to download and apply the update, visit the Sigma DP2 firmware page on the company's website.
