Version 1.3 of firmware for the Panasonic LX3 includes several improvements related to the camera's white balance, focus, exposure and lens systems. The Automatic white balance performance is said to have been improved both generally, and specific to the camera's Sunset scene mode. Autofocus area selection and manual focus assist operation has also been improved, as has the camera's response when powered on with the lens cap in place. Finally, display of manual exposure assistance has been given an update as well.
Panasonic Lumix LX3 firmware v1.3 is available for download on the Panasonic website. The new release also includes changes made in the previous firmware versions 1.1 and 1.2.
