Tamron 10-24mm coming to Sony, Pentax By

Tamron's 10-24mm wide-angle zoom lens, which first shipped in Nikon-mount form late last year, will soon be coming to two new lens mounts according to a brief press release issued by the company.
The Tamron SP AF10-24mm F/3.5-4.5 Di II LD Aspherical [IF] lens model B001 initially shipped for Nikon-mount cameras with built-in motor from October 23rd 2008. A Canon-mount variant followed from March 3rd 2009. These will now be joined in the lineup by Pentax and Sony-mount versions, with expected availability from June 12th 2009 for the Japanese market. The Tamron 10-24mm lens is constructed with 12 elements in 9 groups, features seven diaphragm blades, accepts 77mm filters, and comes with lens hood included. Precise details on size and weight for the new Pentax and Sony-mount versions are not currently available, but in Nikon-mount form the lens weighs 14.3 ounces and measures 3.9" long. Pricing and availability information for markets other than Japan have not been announced at this time.
