June 17th, 2009, BOULDER, Colo. -- LifePics recently asked consumers who use LifePics retail photo sitesto submit their own photography work as entries in its National Photography Month Photo Contest. Thousands of photos were submitted. The winner and nine finalists were announced via an email from Digi Pixels, LifePics' mascot and photography expert who emails photo tips to LifePics consumers twice a month. The winner and 63 other excellent photo submissions are also displayed on Digi Pixels' facebook fan page. Kristie Spettel, whose photo was chose! n as the winner, will receive a large canvas print of the photo she submitted.

"Photography is a wonderful form of expression as well as a personal way to share your life," said Rick Patch, President and CEO of LifePics. "We all have such different perspectives in this world, and it is amazing to see everyone's angle. Since May was National Photography Month, we thought it was the perfect time to ask consumers to share some of their lives and passions with us through photography. It was very difficult to just choose one winner! We were amazed by the level of talent displayed in the thousands of photo submissions, and our entire staff is honored that the work we do at LifePics allows so many people to find joy and expression through their photography. It inspires our entire company; we really love what we do everyday!"

The winning photo and nine finalists are shown below, along with comments from the photographer and from Digi Pixels. These ten photos were submitted through eight different retailers in the LifePics network: Allied Digital Photo, Bangor Photo, Camera Canada Print Lab, Graphics Ink, Lens and Shutter, PE Photo, RitzPix.com, and Snappy Photo! .
