This new iPhone application allows iPhone users to avoid a common problem that happens when showing photos to friends - friends flipping through all photos and finding embarrassing or private photos not meant to be shared. PhotoBeamer shares photos with up to 3 other iPhones ir iPod Touches wirelessly, with full control over which photos get shared and whether the receiver can save.

Lancaster, Penn. (PRWEB) July 30, 2009 -- Today, iPhone developer appMobi LLC, announced the availability of "PhotoBeamer 1.1" on the Apple App Store. PhotoBeamer is among the first iPhone apps available to use the new "GameKit" wireless ad-hoc networking features enabled by the recent iPhone OS 3.0 upgrade.

All iPhone owners have had the experience of showing photos to friends. Intuitively, people hand their phones to friends so they can see the photos better, and invariably, friends begin flicking through their entire photo libraries, looking at all photos whether the owner want them to or not.

PhotoBeamer was created to solve this problem by allowing users to use the iPhone's built in Bluetooth wireless technology to allow viewers to see (and optionally save) on their own devices only the photos that the sender wants them to see.

The app also allows the photo sharer to decide whether the receivers should be able to save viewed photos on their phones. An additional bonus of the Bluetooth Wireless sharing is the fact that up to 3 people can receive photos from each sharing phone.

A free, receive-only version of PhotoBeamer, called "BeamCatcher" is available in the Apple app store. With this application, anyone who wants to share photos can use PhotoBeamer and anyone wishing to view shared photos can simply download the free BeamCatcher from the app store.

PhotoBeamer is available in the Apple App Store for $0.99. The receive-only BeamCatcher app is free.

PhotoBeamer works with iPhone 3G, 3GS and iPod Touch 2G, and requires iPhone OS 3.0 or greater. A demonstration video showing how PhotoBeamer works can be seen at http://www.appmobi.com. App Store codes available to qualified Press and Bloggers.
