Samyang prepares 14mm f/2.8 lens By

Korea's Samyang Optics Co. Ltd. will soon release its latest full-frame manual focus lens, the Samyang 14mm f2.8 IF ED MC Aspherical, according to the official website of the company's Polish distributor.
Designed with two extra-low dispersion and two hybrid aspherical lens elements, the Samyang 14mm f/2.8 lens is capable of focusing as close as eleven inches (28 centimeters). The lens has 14 elements in 12 groups, and will be offered in Canon EF, Nikon F, Pentax K and Sony Alpha mounts. Field of view is 114° when used with a 35mm full-frame SLR, 92.5° with a Nikon, Pentax or Sony APS-C DSLR, and 89° with a Canon APS-C DSLR. Pricing for the Samyang 14mm f2.8 IF ED MC Aspherical lens has not been disclosed at press time. Availability is set for November 2009, and three sample photos shot with the lens on Nikon's D3x digital SLR are available in either downsampled JPEG or .NEF Raw file formats.
