Korea's Samyang Optics Co. Ltd. has announced a delay in the release schedule for its 14mm f2.8 IF ED MC Aspherical lens, according to the official website of the company's Polish distributor.

The Samyang 14mm lens is designed for full-frame SLRs, and will be offered in Canon EF, Nikon F, Pentax K and Sony Alpha mounts, but offers only manual focusing capability. First announced about three weeks ago by the distributor, the lens was originally expected to begin shipping in November 2009. This estimate has now been rolled back to the first quarter of 2010, to allow time for a partial redesign of the lens construction, as well as further unspecified improvements. Planned pricing for the Samyang 14mm f2.8 IF ED MC Aspherical lens has not been disclosed at press time.
