Billed as the world's smallest and lightest digital interchangeable lens camera. the Panasonic GF1 features a twelve megapixel Panasonic N-MOS image sensor, 3.0-inch LCD with 460,000 dot resolution, optional external electronic viewfinder, burst shooting at three frames per second, a maximum ISO sensitivity of 3,200 equivalent, 23-point AF and a 144-zone metering system. The Panasonic Lumix GF1 also offers 720p high-def movie recording with the choice of both AVCHD Lite or MotionJPEG compression..The Lumix GF1 stores data on SD / SDHC cards, draws power from a proprietary lithium ion rechargeable, and provides the trio of HDMI high-def, NTSC/PAL standard-def and USB 2.0 High Speed connections.
The new accessory offered for the camera is a tripod adapter, which raises its diminutive body from the head of the tripod, providing more clearance for large diameter lenses. This should allow use of the GF1 tripod-mounted with the 45-200mm and 14-140mm Lumix G Vario lenses, even on tripods with larger pedestals
Pricing and availability for the accessory haven't been announced. For more details on the camera itself, read our Panasonic GF1 review.
