Snow Leopard first debuted on August 28 2009, and requires updates to several of Nikon's software applications. First on the list for update is Camera Control Pro 2, currently slated for support by the end of this month. Capture NX 2 support should follow by the end of December, while compatible versions of Nikon Transfer and ViewNX should ship before the end of January 2010. Updates are also planned for the WT-4 Setup Utility / Thumbnail Selector, and for Nik Color Efex Pro 3, but expected dates by which these will be compatible with OS X Snow Leopard haven't been determined.

Applications for which no Snow Leopard support is planned include Camera Control Pro version.1.x, Capture NX version1.x, Nikon Capture, Nikon Scan, Nikon View, PictureProject Coolpix Connect Remote Control, Wireless Camera Setup Utility, Wireless Connecting Utility and WT-3 Setup Utility.
