The new releases finalize the previous Release Candidate version seen a little over a month ago, which added support for several Foveon image sensor-based digital cameras. SILKYPIX Developer Studio v4.0.27.2 and Developer Studio Pro v4.1.27.2 both add support for several Foveon X3 image sensor-based cameras from Sigma, including the SD14 digital SLR, as well as the DP1, DP1s and DP2 fixed-lens cameras. The new version also adds compatibility with the Sony Alpha A500 and A550 digital SLRs.
For English-language speakers, the new releases are currently available on the Windows platform only from Ichikawa's UK agent, GlobalTech Commerce Ltd. Japanese speakers can find both Windows and Mac updates of Developer Studio and Developer Studio Pro on Ichikawa's own website. The new releases aren't yet available in the US market, where the agent for Ichikawa is Shortcut Software International Inc, but we'd expect this situation to change relatively soon.
