Hauppauge, December 30, 2009, Tiffen CES Booth 31136 – (Virtual Press Office) Davis & Sanford, a division of The Tiffen Company, will announce the introduction of the TRAVERSE tripod with choice of BHQ8 or BHQ11 ball heads at the CES show in Las Vegas. This new tripod will complement the already extensive line of tripods by Davis and Sanford. The Traverse is focused on the needs of serious amateur and working professional photographers using today’s newest point and shoot through DSLR cameras. The unique feature of this tripod is the ability of the legs to fold up over the head saving several inches of space as the tripod is readied for storage. The TRAVERSE opens up to a full size 57 inches and folds down to a mere 16” making it easy to use most anywhere. The independent legs have 2 stops to shoot down to 16” or up to 57 inches.

The TRAVERSE tripod is a light, full-size model that is among the lightest, most portable and affordable in its class. Weighing in at only 3.3 lbs, the leg sections are constructed of strong, durable, lightweight aluminum with quick twist rubberized collet locks. The aluminum canopy incorporates 2 position leg angle adjustments for low-angle grounder adjustment, and center column tensioning adjustment. Other combined features include, foam leg warmers, removable center column hook and retractable rubber feet. A padded tripod bag is also included. The TRAVERSE with BHQ8 ball head has a street price of $119. The TRAVERSE with BHQ11 head has a street price of $169.
