Alongside its snappily-named SLICE touchscreen digicam, Eastman Kodak Co. unveiled six other digital cameras at the Consumer Electronics Show, although only four were documented with press releases.
The Kodak EasyShare M530, M550, M575 and M580 were all covered by a joint press release, while the Kodak EasyShare C142 and Z981 were quietly added to Kodak's site without being mentioned in the company's PR materials. The Kodak EasyShare Z981, EasyShare M575, and EasyShare M580 all feature 14 megapixel image sensors, while the EasyShare M530 and EasyShare M550 are twelve megapixel models. The EasyShare C142 marks the entry point, with a ten megapixel imager. The C142 and M530 both have 3x zoom lenses, coupled with 2.5- and 2.7-inch LCDs respectively. The Kodak EasyShare M550 keeps the 2.7-inch LCD, but boosts the lens to a 5x zoom. The Kodak EasyShare M575 also has a 5x zoom lens, but with a larger 3.0-inch LCD display. The Kodak EasyShare M580 has an even more powerful 8x zoom lens and a 3.0-inch LCD, and finally the EasyShare Z981 has a 26x zoom and 3.0-inch LCD.
