Available immediately in the USA and globally, the new Canon T1i firmware is said to improve the reliability of live-view shooting. It also corrects some issues with incorrect indications in the English, Arabic and Swedish-language menu screens.
Announced in March 2009, the Canon T1i offers fifteen megapixel resolution from a variant of the sensor used in the company's prosumer EOS 50D model coupled to a DIGIC 4 image processor. The EOS T1i was the company's first Rebel-class model to offer video capability, offering resolutions up to 1,920 x 1,080 pixels with a reduced frame rate of 20 fps. At 720p (1,280 x 720) pixel resolution or below, the Canon EOS T1i offers 30 frames per second video.
The new Canon T1i v1.1.0 firmware can be downloaded from the Canon USA and Canon global websites.
