Samsung Electronics USA has published two updated firmware releases in quick succession for its Samsung NX10 single lens direct view digital camera.

The Samsung NX10 firmware v01.04 is described in detail (including installation instructions) in a PDF document on the Samsung Electronics website. The new firmware is said to include changes to memory card formatting, as well as changing long-exposure noise reduction to activate on exposures of one second or more, rather than the previous four seconds. The default autofocus selection in Program, Aperture- and Shutter-priority or Manual modes has also been changed from Multi to user selection, and overall stability is said to have been improved.

Although precise details aren't given, the subsequently issued Samsung NX10 firmware v01.05 is said to roll in all of these changes, while further improving camera performance according to its PDF guide.

Both NX10 camera firmware releases are 4.61MB zipped downloads, and the download site also contains a previously issued lens firmware update, as well as the original version of firmware for the NX10 at the camera's launch.
