Canon's EOS 5D Mark II digital SLR was used to film the season finale of Fox's medical drama series House, slated to air on May 17th 2010.

The use of Canon's popular DSLR was confirmed in a Twitter posting by episode director Greg Yaitanes, who won an Emmy Award for his direction of 2008's penultimate episode, "House's Head". The series -- which revolves around the character of Dr. Gregory House, played by Hugh Laurie -- is now in its sixth season, and has garnered numerous awards and nominations since its 2004 debut. Research by Eurodata TV Worldwide found the show to be the world's most popular in 2008, with over 81.8 million viewers in 66 countries.

Photography blog PetaPixel has summarised some of the more interesting questions and answers posted on Twitter since Yaitanes' revelation, including details of the hardware used, the advantages and challenges brought by the choices, and why the 5D Mark II was chosen.
