Smart Design is the ultimate library for placing images of people into complex frame shapes or for determining the cropping location for images that have to be printed at new or multiple aspect ratios.

Smart Design 1.1 introduces a new feature, complementary value scoring. With this new scoring system, Smart Design can process numerous images and various aperture shapes and sizes in a photo book or greeting card and determine which image will best fit into which aperture shape. This allows the library to automatically sort through multiple images and find the best fit with a greeting card or to intelligently flow images into a photo book. Version 1.1 also introduces a new person detection system that is even more accurate while rarely reporting “false positives”. Smart Design is now multi-threaded to take full advantage of modern dual core processor architecture as well as multiple processors in a computer or server, delivering faster results.
