PRESS RELEASE: Epson Is Awarded Three Prestigious TIPA Awards

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, April 22, 2010 – Epson, global digital imaging specialist, has been presented with three of Europe's most important photo and imaging technology accolades at the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) Awards 2010. Epson products recognised by TIPA were the Epson EH-TW5500, named as the 'Best Pro-Photo Projector'; the Epson Stylus Pro 3880, which won 'Best Expert Photo Printer'; and finally the Epson Perfection V600 Photo, which was placed 'Best Photo Scanner'.
TIPA consists of 29 member magazines from 13 countries, making it one of the largest and most influential photographic and imaging press associations globally. Every year the TIPA editors vote for the best products introduced into Europe during the previous 12 months, taking into account innovation, cutting-edge technology, design, ease-of-use and the price to performance ratio.

Best Expert Photo Printer: Epson Stylus Pro 3880

The frame interpolation feature means that video output is smooth and the addition of super resolution software contributes to a brilliantly clear picture.
Best Photo Scanner: Epson Perfection V600 Photo
The Epson Perfection V600 Photo scanner has low power consumption for maximum efficiency and no warm-up time for instant scanning. The scanner creates high-quality images thanks to its 6400 dpi optical resolution and 3.4 Dmax optical density. The Epson Perfection V600 Photo features a built-in Transparency Unit that supports full panoramic medium format film. A unique feature of this scanner is the Digital ICE dust and scratch removal, which works not only when scanning film, but also when scanning photos.
