If you're looking for a digital camera that just works and doesn't cost a lot of money, check out the Canon A3100: Its 4x zoom isn't wide, but does zoom from 35 to 140mm, and the Canon A3100's 2.7-inch LCD looks great in most lighting conditions.
But the big story is the Canon A3100's 12.1-megapixel sensor, whose output exceeds the abilities of today's top-end Canon ELPHs, rather mysteriously. Now including a lithium-ion battery, the Canon A3100 is a great bargain, worth a closer look.
