Following on from last week's update for the Lumix ZS7, Panasonic has today released updated firmware for its Lumix TS2, ZS5, ZS6, and ZR3 digital cameras.
In all four cases, the new firmware carries version number 1.1, and includes just one change. Just like that for the Panasonic ZS7, the new TS2, ZS5, ZS6 and ZR3 v1.1 firmware is said to improve performance when using the cameras in their optional underwater housings with several third-party underwater flash strobes -- the Inon D-2000, S-2000 and Z-240. The new firmware is also available for related cameras in overseas markets that carry different model numbers. The Panasonic TS2 is also known as the FT2, and firmware for both cameras can be found here. The Panasonic ZS5 is regionally branded as the TZ8, and firmware for those cameras is here. The Panasonic ZS6 is known in some markets as the TZ9, and for these cameras the firmware is located here. Finally, the Panasonic ZR3 is also sold as the ZX3, and both models will accept the firmware located here. More details on the firmware and its application can be found on the various firmware download pages. Panasonic Lumix ZS7 owners will want to read last week's news item for details on their own firmware update, which also includes a stability improvement that's not applicable for today's updates.
