The Samyang 8mm f/3.5 fish-eye,14mm f/2.8, and 85mm f/1.4 lenses are all manual focus lenses, and are currently available in Canon, Four Thirds, Nikon, Pentax, and Sony lens mounts. As indicated on Samyang's English-language website, all three lenses will now also be available in NX mount, for use with Samsung's NX5 and NX10 single-lens direct view cameras. Availability for the NX-mount variants is slated for late September 2010.
Optically, the new lenses will be identical to the existing versions, with only the lens mount having been changed to an NX type. All three lenses are significantly longer and heavier in their NX-mount variants than for APS-C or Four Thirds DSLRs, with the Nikon and Pentax-mount versions being the most compact. Depending on the specific model, the NX-mount lenses are roughly 5-10% heavier and 25-35% longer than the smallest and lightest APS-C variants.
European sales will be handled by the company's Polish distributor, Delta Co., through its Foto-Tip website.
