Photodex: New ProShow StylePacks, Lightroom plugin

In the last few days, Photodex Corp. has announced several new updates for users of its ProShow Gold and ProShow Producer slideshow products.

The ProShow Grunge Appeal StylePack offers twenty five new style sets, each consisting of a title option, two single image enhancements, and a multi-photo montage, compatible with both standard 4:3 and widescreen 16:9aspect ratios. As the name would suggest, the style sets all feature a distressed and dirty "grunge" look. Photodex notes that the Grunge Appeal pack reuses a portion of the content previously featured in the ProShow MediaSource Senior Portraits collection, but states that "the content is very different", and suggests Senior Portraits owners may still want to consider buying the Grunge Appeal pack. The two remaining announcements aren't covered in a press release, but are none the less interesting. ProShow StylePack 4 adds 15 new styles for ProShow Gold, and ten for ProShow Producer. A number of these styles are available in both 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratio versions, and again, examples can be seen in another couple of YouTube videos -- "ProShow StylePack 4 Demo - Pt. 1", and "StylePack 4 Demo - Part 2". Finally, the updated ProShow Plug-in for Lightroom allows content to be exported from Adobe's photographer-friendly application to ProShow Gold or Producer, and fixes an issue where presets could fail to work if ProShow was installed in a non-default location, as well as adding support for Photoshop Lightroom 3.
