Olympus Corp. has released an update to the [ib] software that's bundled with certain of the company's digital cameras.

Olympus notes that [ib]'s name stands for image bridging, image browsing and image brightening, and the software recently replaced Olympus Master 2 on the Windows platform, but isn't currently available for Macintosh users. Olympus [ib] includes photo browsing, organizing, and editing functionality, including automatic face detection and geotagging features.

Olympus [ib] version 1.2 adds the ability to perform color management, as well as some movie-related features. For the first time, Olympus [ib] v1.2 can now edit movies shot with the company's digital cameras, and it also offers a Cinema Slideshow function.

The Olympus [ib] v1.2 update is available immediately for download from the Olympus website.
