PRESS RELEASE: Raw Compatiblity Update extends OS X digicam support

Apple has released a new Raw Compatibility Update for its Mac OS X operating system that adds support for several camera models from Canon, Olympus, Panasonic, Samsung, and Sony.

Apple's Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 3,3 is available for download immediately. Apple's Knowledge Base includes articles covering Raw compatibility with Mac OS X v10.5 and OS X v10.6, including a full list of all makes and models supported. The newly supported camera Raw formats in Raw Compatibility Update are as follows:

Canon PowerShot SX1 IS
Olympus E-PL1
Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2
Panasonic Lumix DMC-G10
Samsung NX10
Sony Alpha DSLR-A390
Sony Alpha NEX-3
Sony Alpha NEX-5

The new release can be obtained through Apple's OS X software updater.
