All three updates add support for the same list of new camera models, and further improve support for a couple of existing models. The Lightroom 3.2 and Camera Raw 6.2 release candidates also add a large selection of new lens profiles, and tweak three lens profiles due to quality issues with the previous versions. The Lightroom 3.2 RC further adds support for publishing photos directly to Facebook from the Library module, and fixes a lengthy list of bugs in the previous release, including four crash bugs related to video import, printing, image panning while loading, and slideshow video export, with the latter two bugs being specific to the Windows platform. Camera Raw 6.2 also improves scroll bar arrow performance.
Eagle-eyed readers will note that the Lightroom version number has skipped straight from 3.0 to 3.2, and Adobe explains the absence of Lightroom 3.1 as intentional so as to synchronize the minor release numbers of Lightroom, Camera Raw, and DNG Converter. This should make it more immediately obvious when the various software releases correspond in terms of Raw support.
Both Windows and Mac users can now access new Raw file formats from four manufacturers -- Panasonic, Pentax, Samsung, and Sony. In addition, DNG format support for the Casio EXILIM EX-FH100 and Leica S2 has been improved in terms of color and noise profiles. The full list of newly supported cameras is as follows:
The new lens profiles cover a variety of lenses from eight manufacturers -- Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Samsung, Schneider, Sigma, Sony, and Zeiss. In addition, the profiles for the Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM and EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM, and the Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D, have all been improved. In full, the list of newly added lens profiles is as follows:
