All three final releases add support for the same list of new camera models, including several models that weren't mentioned in the release candidate process. These include the Canon EOS 60D, Sony Alpha A33, and Sony Alpha A55V -- all announced since the RCs were made available -- plus the Fujifilm FinePix HS10. A wide range of additional lens profiles have also been added, including a whole raft of Tamron models for Canon, Nikon, Pentax and Sony mounts, plus several additional Canon lens profiles further refined since the release candidates were made available.

Lightroom 3.2 also adds support for direct uploading to SmugMug, as well as the Facebook support from the RC version. It further adds tethering support for the Leica S2, and fixes further issues discovered in the release candidate version.

Eagle-eyed readers will note that the Lightroom version number has skipped straight from 3.0 to 3.2, and Adobe explains the absence of Lightroom 3.1 as intentional so as to synchronize the minor release numbers of Lightroom, Camera Raw, and DNG Converter. This should make it more immediately obvious when the various software releases correspond in terms of Raw support.

Both Windows and Mac users can now access new Raw file formats from six manufacturers -- Canon, Fujifilm, Panasonic, Pentax, Samsung, and Sony. In addition, DNG format support for the Casio EXILIM EX-FH100 and Leica S2 has been improved in terms of color and noise profiles. The full list of newly supported cameras is as follows:

The new lens profiles cover a variety of lenses from ten manufacturers -- Apple, Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Tamron, Samsung, Schneider, Sigma, Sony, and Zeiss. In addition, the profiles for the Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM, and EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM, EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, EF 17-40mm f/4 L USM, EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM, and the Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D have all been improved.
