Canon Rebel XS / EOS 1000D Firmware Update Version 1.0.7

Canon has released firmware version 1.0.7 for the Rebel XS / EOS 1000D digital SLR. Available now via Canon Japan's website, the update corrects an infrequent error condition in the camera's file system.
Firmware Version 1.0.7 incorporates the following fixes. - Fixes a rare phenomenon in which "Cannot create folder" is displayed on the camera's LCD monitor, after which shooting is no longer possible with the SD card in your camera.
The Version 1.0.7 firmware being released this time is for cameras with firmware up to Version 1.0.6. If the camera's firmware is already Version 1.0.7, it is not necessary to update the firmware. Visit the Canon EOS Rebel XS / 1000D firmware download page for more info and instructions.
