Ricoh's G700 digital camera. Photo provided by Ricoh Co. Ltd. PRESS RELEASE: Ricoh G700: New firmware available

Japan's Ricoh Co. Ltd. has today announced an updated firmware release for its G700 digital camera.

The firmware update includes a fix for a problem with voice memo recording in the Ricoh G700, which manifests itself in one particular instance. If you stored a voice memo in the No. 2 item or greater, then played the memo back, followed by attempting to register a new memo in the No. 1 item, the new recording would prove unsuccessful. This issue has now been corrected. No other changes are listed in the new firmware.

The new firmware for the Ricoh G700, as well as details on how to check your camera's current firmware version and to apply the firmware update if necessary, can be found on Ricoh's website.
