Lens Review: Nikon 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR

This past September, Nikon started shipping its 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR, one of which has recently landed in our test lab. The lens offers more than just extra reach, with an additional ED lens element (from one to two), a high-refractive index (HRI) element, and rounding of the diaphragm blades for smoother bokeh.
